As you may know, the AYS Pro Plugins generally have Business, Developer, and Agency packages (some of the plugins are missing the Agency package and have only the Business and Developer packages).
We will explain this case by taking the WordPress Quiz Plugin as an example, but it can refer to all AYS Pro products.
The Differences Between the Plugin Packages #
When you purchase the Business package of the plugin, you get the package for 12 months.
That means you get usage for a lifetime of the already downloaded zip file, support, and updates for 12 months. So, in the case of the Business package, you need to renew your license annually.
The Developer and Agency packages offer lifetime usage, lifetime support, and updates for the plugin.
We have a one-time payment mechanism. So, even if your license expires, the system will not charge you automatically. In that case, you must renew your license by purchasing the package again.
Expired License and New WordPress/PHP Versions #
If you have been using the Business version of the plugin for 12 months and when logged in to your account notice the “License Expired” note, then, your license has expired. That means you are not able to get the new updates and support for the plugin anymore.
As your license is expired, most presumably, you are using an older version of the plugin. You can check all the info about new updates in the Pro Changelog of the plugin. In the given example, the Quiz Maker Pro Changelog.
If you have updated the WordPress and the PHP versions on your website and are still using the old version of the plugin, an incompatibility issue may arise for you causing different problems when using the plugin.
The latest version of the plugin is always compatible with the latest WordPress and PHP versions.
In that case, you need to renew your license by purchasing the plugin again. And, then, upgrade to the latest version by following the Update Guide.
Non-expired Plugin Old Version and New WordPress/PHP Version #
If you are using the Business, Developer, or Agency package with an active license, and updated your WordPress and PHP versions to the latest ones, but notice some problems in the operation of the plugin (such as the note “Unable to store your data”, different warnings, issues with the AJAX request, returning the 500 status code, conflicts that have been fixed in the latest version of the plugin), then, most probably you are using an old version of the plugin.
In that case, firstly, check the WordPress Quiz Plugin Changelog to identify the latest version of the plugin. Then, log in to your account and download the latest version zip file. After that, install it on your website. You can find all the steps to upgrade from the old version to the new one in our Update Guide.
