Upload File Question type

The Upload File Question Type allows quiz takers to attach files as part of their answers. This feature is highly flexible and can be used in many scenarios:

• Language Practice Quiz – students can upload voice recordings or written exercises.
• Resume / CV Upload Quiz – gather resumes directly through a quiz.
• Handwritten Work Quiz – collect scanned notes or photos of written work.
• Certification Proof Quiz – ask users to upload certificates for validation.
• Assignment Submission Quiz – let students submit their assignments directly.

This guide will show you exactly how to create and configure an Upload File Question and what it looks like for users on the frontend.

1. Creating an Upload File Question #

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Quiz Maker → Questions.
3. Click Add New Question.
4. In the Question Type dropdown, select Upload File.

2. Configuring the Question #

Once you select Upload File, you can configure the following options:

• Question Title:
  Add a clear prompt for users. Example:
  “Please upload your resume in PDF format.”
• Question Description:
  Add instructions or requirements, such as:
  “Only .docx and .pdf files are accepted. Maximum size 10MB.”
• File Restrictions:
  Define the allowed file types (e.g., PDF, DOCX, JPG, PNG, MP3, MP4).
  Set a maximum file size.

3. Adding the Question to a Quiz #

1. After configuring the question, click Save.
2. Navigate to Quiz Maker → Quizzes.
3. Edit the quiz where you want to include this question.
4. Insert the Upload File question type.
5. Save the quiz.

4. What Students See on the Frontend #

When students take the quiz, the Upload File Question will display a file upload field.

• They click Choose File.
• They select a file from their device.
• The file is uploaded together with the quiz submission.

5. Reviewing Uploaded Files (Admin) #

After users submit their quiz:

1. Go to Quiz Maker → Results.
2. Click on the Particular Quiz.
3. Click on the particular WP User.
4. The submission details will open in a popup window.
5. In this popup, you’ll see the uploaded file(s) along with a Download link for each.
