Slack is an advanced and multifunctional platform that helps team members communicate and stay in touch with each other. It helps businesses manage the working process of the team members.
The WordPress Quiz Plugin has an Integration with Slack. So, with this article, let’s explore the steps you need to follow to enable the Integration.
Creating an App in Slack #
At first, of course, you need to create a new Slack App. You can create it by going to the Slack website. Choose how you would like to configure the Slack settings and create an app based on your preferences.
If you already have a Slack App, you can skip the step mentioned above.
Configuring the Slack Client ID and Access Token #
To take the Slack Client ID and Access Token, head to the Slack API page > Your Apps. Then, follow these easy steps:
- Click on the Create APP button and choose Workspace.
- After that, your app will be displayed in the list.
- Click on the corresponding App.
- With the next step, head to the OAuth & Permissions page > Redirect URLs part. Then, click on the Add New Redirect URL button.
- Take the Redirect URL from the Instructions part of the Slack Integration (General Settings page > Integrations Tab > Slack Integration).
- Paste the URL in the input and click on the Save URLs button.
- Then, head to the Basic Information page and copy the Client ID and Client Secret to paste them into the Quiz Settings later.
Enabling Slack Integration in WordPress Quiz #
Once you have created an App and configured all the necessary settings, it is high time to enable the Integration from the Quiz Settings. For that, please follow these steps:
- Head to the Quiz Maker plugin > General Settings page > Integrations Tab.
- There find the Slack Integration.
- Paste the copied Client ID and click on the Authorize button.
- Then, paste the Client Secret and click on the Get it button.
- Save the changes afterward.
- With the last step, head to the Quizzes > particular quiz > Integrations Tab.
- Tick the checkbox to enable the Stripe Integration and choose your desired channel.
